Halloween in New England: It’s Our Time to Shine!
October brings out the kid in every New Englander, from 1 to 100. The crisp air, colorful leaves, costumes, and pumpkins make spooky season our happy place. From one jack-o’-lantern on the porch to 12-foot skeletons and homemade haunted mazes, we take Halloween seriously!
The weather? Could be 80 degrees. Could be rain, snow, or 20 degrees with wind. We’re going anyway—even if that amazing costume disappears under a winter coat, hat, and gloves.
We still remember school costume parades, trick-or-treating with friends, and dumping our candy on the floor to sort, count, and trade. And we’re still debating the worst candy. My Vote is either Candy Corn or Circus Peanuts!
This year, Halloween falls on Saturday and the parties are going to be on another level! Witches, vampires, skeletons, zombies, princesses, and inflatable dinosaurs will be out in full force.
Every region loves Halloween its own way, but in New England, it’s in our blood. Listen closely, you jmight hear “Thriller” playing in every neighborhood in the land!
